Follow up on a lead, all the way to a deal
Advance the stage and record the deal amount on the lead detail page. Removing it from your CRM clears those records.
A new lead is just a record at first. Give it a pipeline stage on its detail page and it enters your CRM, after which you can follow the whole thing under “Customers”.
- In “Leads & Inquiries”, open a lead's summary to reach its detail page and see what the visitor asked. The status badge in the list opens straight into a change of status: New / In Progress / Converted / Closed. The same badge sits at the top of the detail page.
- After you contact the customer, write a line under “Follow-up Notes” on the lead detail page and click “Add Note”.
- On the same page, pick a “Pipeline Stage” under “Pipeline & Deal” and click “Save Changes”. The lead then shows up under “Customers”.For a lead not yet in your CRM, a line of text and an “Add to CRM” button appear under the stage dropdown; clicking it does the same thing.
- Once you close, go back to “Pipeline & Deal”, fill in “Deal Amount” and click “Save Changes” again. The deal amount cannot be negative; a negative number is rejected and never saved.
“Remove” under “Customers” clears the stage, deal amount and CRM note (the lead itself and its follow-up notes are kept), and asks you to confirm first. You can re-import it later, but the first-won time is then recorded as of the re-import.
