FAQs, knowledge entries, store articles: what goes where
The difference is whether visitors see it and in what form. Your AI reads all three, and the bottom of the “AI Knowledge Base” page shows how much it knows in total.
The “AI Knowledge Base” page now holds only knowledge entries — internal material the AI reads and visitors never see. FAQs, store articles and the body text of visible tabs are all things visitors can see directly, so you maintain them under “Storefront Page”, and the AI still reads them. Pick where something goes by asking whether you want visitors to see it, and in what form:
- Knowledge entries — AI only, never shown to visitors, maintained on the “AI Knowledge Base” page. Put here what you do not want to publish but still want the AI to answer: pricing rules, internal process, how you handle a certain kind of case.
- FAQs — maintained in the “FAQ” section of “Storefront Page”. They show on your store page by default and the AI quotes them first; turn off “Show on storefront page” on one and only the AI sees it. Put here what visitors ask again and again and you can answer in a line or two.
- Store articles — maintained in the “Articles” section of “Storefront Page”. Once published they appear under the “Articles” tab on your store page, and the AI reads them too. Put here what deserves a full piece: cases, guides, industry explainers. Drafts reach neither your store page nor the AI.
- Tab body text — maintained in the “Tabs” section of “Storefront Page”. The body of a visible custom tab is picked up by the AI automatically; hidden tabs are not.
You never need to enter the same thing twice: the AI reads it wherever it lives. At the bottom of the “AI Knowledge Base” page is a line reading “Your AI also reads: FAQs N · Published articles N · Storefront page sections N”. Click through to where each one is maintained, and see at a glance how much your AI knows in total.
